Netherlands headquartered mobile messaging and payments carrier Silverstreet has announced its official entry as the newest member of the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF).

As a member of MEF, Silverstreet joins a high-class range of leading global companies who are working to deliver mobile telecommunications guidelines, services and applications to mobile telecommunications operators and their customers. So as to solidify its own position and assist with the progression of MEF, Silverstreet aims to become an active member in both the EMEA and Asian chapters. 

Silverstreet mobile solutions are already driving the adoption of many developed and emerging mobile operators by enabling the rapid development of a new phase in its mobile messaging platform with targets of catering more than 10 billion messages in 2010 which is more than five times the growth rate of 2009.

Establishing membership in MEF formalizes Silverstreets’s ongoing commitment to driving further innovation in the mobile telecommunications industry. Silverstreet currently offers mobile messaging services that include complex functions like traffic management, Quality of Service and Service Level Agreement (SLA) to government agencies, Mobile Network Operators, corporate level entities, non-profit organizations and aggregators.

Silverstreet announces Asia Pacific expansion

Netherlands headquartered mobile messaging and payments carrier Silverstreet today announces its expansion to the Asia Pacific region.
The office will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This location is chosen because of its emerging environment and central location in the region.
The office will offer technical support services to clients in the Asia Pacific region as well as to the Silverstreet customer base located in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Kuala Lumpur office is equipped with a 100% duplicate of the Network Operations Center of Silverstreet’s headquarters in Oosterhout, the Netherlands. With the opening of this office Silverstreet expands its technical support and monitoring service to true 24/7/365 availability for its customers.
Silverstreet will offer its full range of Mobile messaging and payment services to the Asia Pacific region. Customers in the Asia Pacific region can also benefit from Silverstreet’s Premium messaging connectivity in Europe while our European customers can soon benefit from our Premium messaging connectivity in the Asia Pacific region.
Silverstreet today also announces the appointment of Mr. William Ho as the Business Development manager for the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Ho is a seasoned executive with 10 years of sales and marketing experience in developing new business and leading commercial negotiations in the Asia Pacific region. His previous posting was with Radius ED Sdn Bhd.  He also spent 5 years with Virtual Commerce Sdn Bhd, a provider of financial data, bandwidth and infrastructure solutions to the banking and stockbroking sector in Malaysia. Mr. Ho will mostly focus on expanding Silverstreet’s clientele in the region.
