December 17th, 2010 by simon

While the holiday season is typically a slow business period in most industries, Silverstreet continues to move forward at a rapid pace having registered its highest single month of SMS traffic to date with an estimated 400 million SMS terminated across its platform during the month of December 2010.

“We have made it a goal of ours to remain fully available across all of our departments 365 days of the year and this availability in addition to our experienced international team is to thank for the upsurge in holiday related traffic. While most companies are vacationing, we remain at our posts eager and ready to serve our clients” says Silverstreet Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Simon Landsheer.

With stated intentions to diversify its client base amongst niche corporate elements and a continued effort to expand on its regional presences in Africa, Europe and Asia 2011 stands to be a record-breaking year for the company.

Silverstreet, a Netherlands headquartered mobile messaging and payments carrier, today announced that they will introduce International Airtime services in Europe. With these Airtime Services, Silverstreet enables European residents and migrants to purchase prepaid reload vouchers for an existing network of Mobile Operators comprising countries worldwide. The introduction of these services is a result of a partnership with the Asia based company Tranglo, the developer of the service.

In Asia, Africa and the Americas, Airtime Services are already part of everyday usage, covering millions of transactions a day. While the focus for Airtime to date has been towards international credit transfer, one of the driving forces behind the Silverstreet approach will be to extend this service to meet the desire of mobile subscribers to transfer credits domestically as well.
“Silverstreet Airtime Services offer great benefits to prepaid users worldwide as this service is fast, easy and reliable. It is a convenient way of transferring money in terms of Airtime to the ones you love living abroad, thus keeping them connected at all time”, says Silverstreet Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Simon Landsheer.
