Silverstreet Ventures into the Social Media Industry
December 3, 2011
Silverstreet today proudly announced the continuation of its expansion and diversification plan with the launch of Silverstreet Social Media Ventures Sdn Bhd, its subsidiary which will be focused on all Social Media related activities for the Group commencing with the launch of the Boleh.La service (www.boleh.la).
“We are thrilled to see the pace with which we have been expanding lately and my hat goes off to all my great colleagues who have been working hard to make this happen. I feel that there are a lot of opportunities within the Social Media sector that a standard SMS aggregator may not have the resources or tools to take advantage of and thus our continued Group expansion strategy is taking us into an entirely new sector which we have high expectations for and which we feel we can optimize on with our experience from the mobile world” said President & CEO, Mr. Simon Landsheer.
The Boleh.La project will be initially geared towards the South East Asian market with a heavy emphasis on Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong commencing its first level approach with a focus on free SMS, catchy email domains based on local slang and free email forwarding services. “Malaysia is an incredibly savvy internet market as is the larger South East Asian region. We feel that with the right marketing we can establish the necessary user base to create a strong foundation and to further build some interesting ideas we have in mind that we feel the local market will really connect well with” said Chief Strategy Officer and Silverstreets South East Asian expert, Mr. Ben Chong.
Feel free to visit www.boleh.la for more information.
