While we work in a booming industry with phenomenal growth and while we at Silverstreet are fortunate enough to say that we thoroughly enjoy our day to day business efforts, we have all regrettably received a chilling reminder of how fragile and delicate both the world as well as our lives are following the horrific events that recently took place in Japan.

As the world mobilizes to help its fellow man in a time of need, Silverstreet has undertaken an internal company program funded entirely by the staff as well reinforced by the company itself to contribute to this global movement by donating in excess of 10,000 EUR to the Red Cross aid efforts.

“We understand that ten thousand euro will not save Japan on its own but its simply impossible to sit back and witness the tragedy that these people are experiencing without contributing in some way. Its just horrific to think that this could happen to any one of us at any time and I think its important to appreciate how small our world is and thus to help out when needed” said the Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Simon Landsheer.
Silverstreet is proud to take part in the global relief efforts and sincerely hopes that tragedies of this sort will not recur neither in Japan nor anywhere else in the world. The team at Silverstreet further hopes that this will be taken as an example by the companies within the telecommunications industry and across other sectors to follow with similar efforts.
Silverstreet extends its deepest thoughts and prayers to all those involved in this tragedy in Japan and wishes a speedy recovery to the nation and its people.

While the holiday season is typically a slow business period in most industries, Silverstreet continues to move forward at a rapid pace having registered its highest single month of SMS traffic to date with an estimated 400 million SMS terminated across its platform during the month of December 2010.

“We have made it a goal of ours to remain fully available across all of our departments 365 days of the year and this availability in addition to our experienced international team is to thank for the upsurge in holiday related traffic. While most companies are vacationing, we remain at our posts eager and ready to serve our clients” says Silverstreet Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Simon Landsheer.

With stated intentions to diversify its client base amongst niche corporate elements and a continued effort to expand on its regional presences in Africa, Europe and Asia 2011 stands to be a record-breaking year for the company.
